| He's most excellent in the role. I saw it Sunday and loved it. While I was in additionally disappointed to learn Shalhoub was gone, in the end, I think I might have had a better experience because of it. Aside from John Cariani, there's no one in the show that was recognizable to me outside of their role. With material that is so restrained and natural, this made it really easy to invest in them 100% as their characters and almost forget I wasnt watching real people play out their stories. |
