| and one of the last big MGM musical stars with us! Her biggest hits: "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Royal Wedding". She starred in "Irene" on Broadway following Debbie Reynolds and did a lot of stock and regionals and off-Broadway, etc. over the years. For someone usually thought of as a soprano singing star, she sure could dance -- and more than kept up with Fred Astaire in "Royal Wedding"; she's brilliant especially in "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life". When I watch her on some old tv clips, they gave her some pretty demanding choreography as well, as she was a real dancer. All the best! |
