I don’t think he should be exposed to art either, or musical comedy: “To dream the inpossible dream...” “for one brief shining moment...” “...we’ll find a new way of living...”
If you want your life or your child’s life to be easier, you should steer clear of art, and steer clear of musicals and theatre. It’s never been about “easier” or avoiding jail or punishment or not confronting hypocrisy.
But it still won’t work.
I think that Perez Hilton fellow needs to see “Billy Elliot” again, a few times. Or read “Babbit” or “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” or the Malcolm X autobiography. Easier. Easier. A rather diminished goal for the next generation.
