| I know of very few actors who miss their show to attend the Drama Desks. I have known of some who show up after their show rushing from their theater to (in days gone by) the High School of Performing Arts or to (now) Town Hall. The drama Desk is understanding of the actors' commitments and there is no resentment if they are unable to attend. The viewership is rather limited and little is gained in ticket sales to have an actor miss a performance. The Tonys are a whole different matter. |
