I'm with Michael 212. The Best Actor in a Musical nominees could've easily have been Jenkins, Knudsen, Richardson and Vereen.

Featured Actor in a Musical could've been Faye, Goodman and Short, and I would've added Timothy Nolen from ''Grind.''

Best Actress in a Musical? Christine Ebersole (''Harrigan''), Leilani Jones (''Grind''), Dinah Manoff and Mary Beth Peil (''King and I'').

Featured Actress? Evalyn Baron and Lenka Peterson (''Quilters''), Beth Fowler (''Take Me Along'') and Carol Woods (''Grind'').

There were enough fine performers to field 4 categories. And if they were only gonna field two categories, why not just call it Best Actor and Actress in a Musical (since most of them were leads)? The roles of Huck, Jim & Anna aren't Featured. (The SAG Awards don't have Featured or Supporting.)

(P.S. ''Grind'' wasn't a perfect show, but I enjoyed much of Grossman & Fitzhugh's score, especially the lovely & lilting ''Katie My Love.'')
