were both wonderful in the show and should have been eligible - and perhaps nominated - for leading actor. Never understood that year and its lack of Best Actress and Actor fiasco. Jim

Baffling. The performers got better notices than the show, but the only aspect that got a Tony nomination was the Book, which was panned. And since the Tonys chose to nominate only 3 shows for Score, they could've nominated only 3 for Book ... but didn't. Go figure.
