| So glad the original album is being discovered by new a audience. Despite all of the different recordings, some of which are very good indeed, I've always found the original--with Ian Gillan's vocals in particular--to be be perfection. | |

| I assume you mean the original album released on two LPs in 1970. I would not describe it as a cast album, although it has been described that way. | |

| I believe it is the 1970 concept album. The Billboard chart for next week is not out yet, so I think the #16 position is coming from other sources. But usually the Billboard ranking is pretty close. I was just looking at the Wikipedia page for the album, and I've never seen the original UK cover before. It's awful! |

| I bought the first CD pressing of the original album and it had that original UK cover on it. Now that I'm thinking about it, it might have been a UK import that I bought. I loved that brown album so much that I bought it immediately when I found it on CD. I don't think that recording has ever been topped. | |
