Just back from Angels marathon- saw Part 1 last night- saw Part 2 tonight. Of late, I really do enjoy those 85 minute/no intermission shows. So was concerned about getting comfortable each night for 4 hours.
Really loved Part 1. I've seen it a few times- and thought cast and production was top notch and hopefully award winning on many levels. Found tonight's Part 2 a bit of a drag- slow moving and somewhat of a different play. Am I alone in those thoughts?
Kushner does need to be commended for writing such a great piece of art- and it stands the test of time. But I'm not sure seeing Part 2 was as necessary as I originally thought (even though I did see both parts prior) |
