| I have not seen this production yet, but I did see the original Broadway production as well as the Signature revival (and the HBO film). I've always felt that the second play does not fulfill the promise made by the first. It's as if Kushner got the characters to a certain point by the end of the first play and then didn't know quite what to do with them in the second one. I understand that he is still rewriting Perestroika and that those rewrites have been incorporated into this production. So perhaps I would feel differently if I attended this production... |
