| I was contemplating this, too. I think "Band's Visit" would still be going home with Best Musical. Like DEH, it's a story uniquely told, and even though it has divided response (a show without a traditional plot in which the journey is the character's need to be seen and understood? It's not everyone's idea of a "good time".) it would likely win just as "Once" did. But Andy Karl would probably win Best Actor this year, and the score would give "Band's Visit" major competition. Regardless of awards, it seems likely GHD would have had a longer run had it opened this season. |
