| I went to Detroit's Fisher to see LOVE NEVER DIES- not great but enjoyable, from the side of the first balcony Their schedule next year doesn't contain anything I'd want to see. I saw THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG last spring in NYC, and It seemed to be a Noises Off wanna- be. The two best shows I saw last year(in Detroit) were AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, and ABT's ROMEO AND JULIET( Prokofief)==But this coming year the umich students are doing CANDIDE(Scottish version) in the Fall and SWEENEY TODD in the spring, and the undergrads are doing SWEET CHARITY as well. I've already purchased tix. This past school year They did a wonderful LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT and the Me and My Gal had a 'ME' named Elliot Styles . I betcha He'll be on Broadway very soon, he gave an extraordinary job. |
