I’m a huge admirer of that production - I posted several times here of my fervor -and do believe those element would have been easy Tony nominations. I’m not sure if there’s a wide audience for the piece. I was convinced it could get by through the holidays, and it was gone in September. I fully agree about the awful (and awfully written) Times review. (She was bothered that a show about a war widow didn’t show women with more agency.) We’ve argued about that critic here; I thought it was her own nadir.
