If ''De-Lovely'' had you gnashing your teeth, what about ''Night and Day'' (1946), starring Cary Grant as Cole Porter?
I've never seen it, but imagine in 1946, the movie must've played it really straight.
Given the rumors of Grant's own sexual history, is it coincidental that he would play Cole? ;)
