Look you can say what you want, but I'm sorry, there are extenuating circumstances for almost EVERY rule. I take my niece to see LOADS of theatre. She is INCREDIBLY well behaved and I ALWAYS make sure we have seats on an aisle. Why? Because she's a Type 1 diabetic. Once, her sugar plummeted SO LOW during a show I IMMEDIATELY had to give her juice, THEN remove her from her seat to take her to a quiet place so we could test her blood sugar in fifteen minutes and adjust accordingly. According to these rules people seem to love so much we would've had to forfeit our seats because she had a medical emergency??
Sorry. I don't buy it. We try to be as respectful as possible- I make SURE we're on an aisle and we always test before a show begins to try to prevent that from happening but there are NO hard and fast rules for her blood sugar because she's a kid and still struggling to manage it. Conversely if it's high we've got to pump her full of water. So she should be kicked out? Denied access to theatre? |
