| Did a show in the fall which involved actor & crew entrances/exits through the house, so a no-late-seating (except for one codified moment) and no re-entry policy was in effect for safety reasons. Before one of the performances, house management advised me of an audience member who had just had surgery and was concerned that he might have to step out. We agreed that he was of course to be accommodated and shifted him to a seat close to the exit so that disruption would be minimized. I think that you'll find that most theaters, whatever their official line, will respond humanely if you let them know of a special circumstance. Don't arrive at the last minute, and politely discuss your situation with your usher/house manager. |
