Oh, I think NIGHT AND DAY is a hoot and a half; even by the loose standards of Hollywood biopics, it's a fantasy, poor Cole injured in the war and Nurse Linda tenderly caring for him. Everybody looks fab, the songs are wonderful, and Cole himself was absolutely thrilled that Grant was playing him. If you see it on TCM, it's well worth watching. It just not factual in the least. What infuriated me about DE-LOVELY was that they bragged they were going to tell Cole's story the right way. Ha.
