Tonight I saw the Robbins/Bernstein program, which consisted of:
Fancy Free (the precursor to On the Town - lots of fun)
The Dybbuk (gorgeous dancing by Tiler Peck and Joaquin De Luz)
West Side Story Suite (from Jerome Robbins' Broadway, I believe. The Dance at the Gym always gives me a thrill)
Of note, Justin Peck danced the role of Bernardo - beautifully.
Whichever program you choose, you can't go wrong.
NYCB is usually very good. It will be interesting to see how the company evolves (and dances) without Peter Martins. |
