Just to set the record straight regarding the category of Outstanding Supporting or Featured Musical Actor in '59, in addition to Russell Nype and Leonard Stone, the 9 male actors from La Plume de Ma Tante received a group nomination. In the category of Outstanding Actress, Musical Featured or Supporting, the 5 female actors from the same show also received a group nomination joining Julienne Marie (for Whoop-Up) and Pat Stanley (who won for Goldilocks). The entire cast of La Plume de Ma Tante received a Special Award Tony "for contribution to the theatre". The Morrow book confirms this information as do various newspaper clips detailing the Tony noms for that year.

BTW Larry Blyden and Miyoshi Umeki (both billed below the title) were nominated respectively as Outstanding Actor, Musical Star and Outstanding Actress, Musical Star for Flower Drum Song.
