Speaking of 'park and bark' - I love opera! - I felt that Josh Henry's whole performance was park and bark. Sung well and loudly, but no acting at all - Soliloquoy was just a long musical number. He didnt even take a second to wonder OMG what if its a girl - just music and words pouring out devoid of intention. Any resonance with you?
