I read the Wikipedia summary of the 7 novels the morning before I went to see the two plays back-to-back (I also had not read a word of the novels nor seen a frame of the films). Though I may not have had the deeper response of those who read the books or saw the films, I was able to understand it. And I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. The plays are terrific as is the stagecraft involved.
