Is SUMMER fun enough to sit through?
Posted by: theaterdude 07:37 pm EDT 05/05/18

I love Donna Summer's music so I was looking forward to seeing SUMMER, even as a guilty pleasure. But the reviews along with the word of mouth have me thinking that the show hasn't got any reason to see it at all. Seeing as I'm coming from out of town and can only see a handful of shows, is there anyone out there that can recommend it and tell me it's fun? I'm looking for some reasons to rationalize going, but it's been tough trying to find any.

I also think it's ironic that both this show and Mean Girls, another one I was advised to skip, have the least amount of good orchestra seats available. I can't find a good single seat for either of these shows, but meanwhile The Band's Visit has plenty.
