GabbyGerard, that line (which was “oopsiedaisies” when I saw the show) was the line that made me fall in love with her, and it is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
I think I have mentioned this before: I saw Jan Maxwell at the stage door several years later and mentioned how much I loved that line. She was very tickled that I still remembered it, and she was especially happy because she said it was her idea. (I didn’t ask her if she meant the actual line or the way it was delivered.) She was a brilliant actress and sorely missed. |
