| Rob is completely upfront about who he is and I see him fairly regularly on TV. He's asking a legit question that anyone might ask on this board. Unlike some, he isn't using this site to make homophobic comments, engage in some sort of women's studies course bs, or re-litigage the last election under the guise that they're talking about theatre. My answer Rob is that I think "The Band's Visit" is going to get the win because it's far more high-minded and carries the political message that wins awards. Voters somehow will be reminded that the show really needs the Best Musical win to keep doing enough business, unlike Mean Girls which is doing just fine. There have been instances where the more commercial show that could tour was able to pull an upset, but I don't think it will be the case here. |
