The two Tony nominations for LaChanze and Ariana DeBose are both well-deserved, in my book (they play two of the three versions of Donna Summer). The production is everything you’d expect from a great big Broadway musical. But, you have to sit through a god-awful book with at least one big cringe-worthy moment to get the enjoyment you’d want.
