I did a longer post with a few of those mentioned, but then I didn't post the whole thing.
I'd love to see all of those, but I very much doubt they will ever spend a whole evening on Greenwillow. (Watch: Now that I've said that, it will be next season. Actually, I'd be happy if that happened but my guess is that it's not felt to be strong enough as a whole.) And I'm not a great fan of the Destry score, but I know that others are. I don't dislike it, I just don't find it very interesting. I'd be happy for them to do it.
I was going to mention an evening with material taken from the various Dietz-Schwartz revues as I doubt they'd try to do just one, not even The Band Wagon. Ditto for New Faces, although I'm a bit doubtful they'd do that for New Faces.
Yes to all the others, especially Flower Drum Song (but would they be afraid of backlash?), but something that I mentioned in the longer version of my post was that I've heard that the orchestrations can't be found for By Jupiter. Of course, they've commissioned completely new orchstrations several times when the originals could not be found, but I'm not sure they'd do that for By Jupiter. |
