Odd - I thought I posted this before, but the post seems not to have shown up.
Anyway - I think "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue" from On Your Toes may be the longest - the 1983 revival recording of the ballet lasts about 17 minutes (and this '83 score is now the licensed version of the show, claiming to be as close to the original as possible). The show's other major ballet, the "Princess Zenobia" is almost 12 minutes on that same recording, but they cut the first 4 pages of the music in the vocal score, so in actual performance, that ballet would also be longer than the Carousel one. |
