Very good advice.
On a side note, last year when I brought 30 high school kids/chaperones to NYC, we had an afternoon to go see/do whatever (as long as you were chaperoned). Four of us ended up at The Play that Goes Wrong, with literally no advance info (as a music teacher, I'm always inclined to the musical). We had such a wonderful time. I loved ever minute of it. We hadn't planned on it more than two days prior to leaving, and the delight of seeing something I hadn't thoroughly explored prior to showing up was a delight. The fact that a former student was serving drinks and recognized us simply from hearing my wife's voice in line for tickets was a bonus.
Always trust the gut.
