| There are a few honest and interesting moments, but not enough, in my opinion. I’m very surprised this play won the Blackburn Prize. Seems extremely immature and strident in its notions about feminism. The whole thing rises to a group repetition—including the two male characters—chanting “I wish my soul were as perfect as my pussy” or something like that. I wasn’t engaged. And the plot rests on a decision by one of the dancers that gets justified by the play, but that I found petty shitty—not that I cared much. And it seems like I saw it many weeks ago. I’m surprised it hasn’t opened yet. |
