| He supposedly hated The Golden Apple and there were rumors on ATC that Encores would never do it. Of course, then they did it last year. Rome was one of the great Broadway composers from the Golden Age. Fanny is the only one of his musicals to get the Encores treatment. It's inevitable that they'll eventually do another. I imagine it will either be I Can Get It for You Wholesale -- the choice of the intelligentsia -- or Destry Rides Again -- more of a proletariat favorite. We'll see what happens. |
