My good friend who worked there up until recently said there #1 all time most popular performer was Lea Salonga. She did 17 or 18 shows last year, all sold out and he mentioned they have never had an act even com close. Similarly, Linda Eder also has sold out every run she has done almost instantly, I believe. There were still tickets available for LuAnn last week when I checked though she now appears to be mostly sold out, but it doesn't seem to be a total instant sell out though I have no doubt she is popular. I'm glad they are getting some high level sell out shows, it would be a shame if the venue closed like so many others.
One note - Michael Feinstein is not an owner of this club, he just licenses his brand. He doesn't hire or pay the acts. So he doesn't make any more money if LuAnn sells out. |
