VOICES FROM THE FRINGE

​Readings of New Work Developed in the
Woodstock Fringe Playwrights Unit

Due to construction the May 10 readings will be held in Room 1301. Please go to the FRONT DESK at 55 Bethune Street where Westbeth Staff will direct you to the location of the readings.

​THE GLASS SLIPPER by Bette Siler - The forces of nature, politics and family are all good excuses for having a drink. But not for Silvie. She's an alcoholic. She's white-knuckling through life, day by day, until something she experiences propels her into the past... and into the future.

THE CRAFTSMAN by Ric Siler - The Craftsman is a dark comedy about Jimmy Barton who is ruled over at home by his massive, agoraphobic wife, Martha. After he is hit in the head in a workplace accident people begin to appear in his life (real and otherwise) who suggest a resolution for his problems with Martha.

​MY STAIRWAY TO YOU by Victoria Devany - A New England writer recalls visiting one of her muses: her father, exploring her fascination with the mysteries surrounding his personality and work.

A GLIMPSE OF MURDER by Nia Lourekas - A weekend soiree at a mansion in Southampton, NY brings together a wide variety of people celebrating the creation of a new business venture. The party seems merry until a dead body is found.

JACK BE NOT-SO-NIMBLE by David Heefner - A weekend soiree at a mansion in Southampton, NY brings together a wide variety of people celebrating the creation of a new business venture. The party seems merry until a dead body is found.

DOGFLOWERS AND OTHER VOLUPTUOUS SCARS by Ariana Johns - Ariana will read a few short stories from her two collections, ‘All the Dark Clouds’ and ‘20 Voluptuous Scars’​

FAMILY MATTERS by Lou Rodgers - A crisscross of amorous involvements within a family.
