| I cringe when I hear that the play is "dated" and "politically incorrect". Yes, things are better now than they used to be, but not everywhere. For example, there are cruise ship lines who offer LGBT social hours and others who resist the idea because they don't want to offend their (mostly) conservative clientele. There are still deep pockets of resistance today. These characters are aptly named "boys" because social stigma prevents them from becoming "Men." |
