Although it may be more likely that any individual UK actor would be making their Broadway debut, oe might normally assume the number of debuting actors to be more American based. It is not indicative though I think of Broadway "these days' as just of Broadway this season. Last year 11 of the 12 actors honored were American. (I count Carlo Alban as American because although born in Ecuador, he was raised in New Jersey.)
