His remark followed immediately his comment about content. I see nothing to suggest he was reviewing the audience rather than the play. Nowhere else in the article are audiences mentioned. They speak solely of the shows and their creators. Why would you think Green would slip in a reference to audiences this one time. And yes, I am aware that he is capable of reviewing productions of the plays I mentioned more objectively. That is actually part of my point. Here he let the production get in the way of his objectivity about it and instead of stating that, a valid objection, he glibly dismisses the entirety.
