| The Jr. editions aren't meant as a way to get around this. They are actually changes made by the creators, usually in response to repeated requests from schools wanting to do a watered down version of their show. The creators see the opportunity to license the Jr. version to such schools and have an often very lucrative additional market for their show. As you may have surmised, I find the motivation for creating Jr. editions to be quite cynical, and I'm of the opinion that if your are not able to do a show at written, for whatever reason, then you should pick a different show. I think Jr. editions represent the creative team selling out and cashing in, and there isn't a lot of artistic integrity in such an arrangement. |
