PARADISE BLUE. Don't missi it! August Wilson meets Raymond Chandler in Detroit in 1949

Dominique Morisseau does (in a limited way) for Detroit what August Wilson did for Pittsburgh.

Part of a 3-play cycle, this is a noir story involving impending government takeover (aka urban renewal) of property in the Paradise Valley/Black Bottom neighborhood of Detroit.

Personal demons of a jazz club owner tangle with a sultry femme fatale, played in classic style by Simone Missick.
Wonderful production all around. Great cast. Terrific direction by Ruben Santiago-Hudson.
