It's Blue... and not J. Alphonse Nicholson's fault. We hear more about his past late in Second Act and that comes from his wife Pumpkin ( nicely played by Kristolyn Lloyd ). Maybe the playwright thinks the situation he's placed in defines his character. That set by Neil Patel was deluxe!
