And you've brought up an even more complicated issue of how and if and why and when do we separate the art from the artist? Many of your examples as pieces of work have nothing offensive - Annie Hall, The Cosby Show, Spacey's performance in whatever, Tambor's performance in Transparent - had they not been made by and/or starring someone who turned out to be guilty of/accused of a terrible thing(s) (to varying degrees of terribleness, I must point out), the works and performances themselves would not be subject to scorn, dismissal or the dustbin. Seven Brides For Seven Brothers was not made by or starring anyone society at large finds objectionable because of what we found out they did privately or in the more hidden aspects of their professional life... but because of parts of its content.

Very complicated issues indeed.
