| I saw MILLENIUM APPROACHES on Broadway and I thought the movie's cast was better than the cast I saw onstage. Ron Liebman was good, but Pacino was scary in a way that truly evoked the Roy Cohn I had seen on the TV show Crossfire, more so than Liebman. Justin Kirk seemed believable in a way that the innocent, angelic Spinella was not. And though I generally like Kathleen Chalfant, I didn't believe her for a second as the Rabbi. Plus Streep's Ethel Rosenberg was unmatched. Mike Nichols did a truly brilliant job with this. |
