| The new Durang Play "Turning off the Morning News" is an enjoyable mess. The guy can write some funny lines and the performances soar, yet the structure of the play is out of whack and at times I felt like it had tired elements of "House of Blue Leaves". Follows the latest trend in a 95 minute one act trifle. Certainly have seen worse yet as a follow-up play after "Masha and Uncle Vanya and all" a disappointment. Though what do I know, the woman next to us, thought it was fabulous. |
