| I guess the quality of the post-barn dance songs is in the ear of the beholder (sic). IMHO there's plenty of wit and skill in Lonesome Polecat, with its rhythm matching the axe chopping. And Spring, Spring, Spring's lyric, even in the bowdlerized version in the movie, is classic Johnny Mercer. |
