| Thought you might enjoy this clip from way back in 1929 which features some of Mr. Lane's very unique style of acrobatic dancing and his fine chemistry with an entrancing and effervescent young Lillian Roth. If you've never seen the film, it's a lot of fun. It was Jeanette McDonald's film debut, and she's wonderful and very assured opposite star Maurice Chevalier. Lupino Lane was a rather singular type of musical star, very enjoyable indeed. | |

| Thanks for posting these Lupino Lane clips. The one above should also lead automatically to a 1957 appearance by Lillian Roth as the Mystery Guest on What's My Lane?, definitely worth watching. She's delightful, looks great (those dimples!), and nearly fools the panel. | |

| though the film was called "The Lambeth Walk", and, yes, there are clips of that number, too on youtube. | |
