It was actually a United Artists Film by way of The Mirisch Company
Billy Wilder also did "The Apartment" with them.
They were behind "West Side Story" and "Fiddler on the Roof" and many big movie hits of the sixties
MGM bought U/A in the eighties, so that's how they are able to re-brand it as an M-G-M Classic
still not accurate, however. |
