|
| it all depends on what sort of foot fracture. I had a minor stress fracture between 3-4th metatarsals - which is a pretty common injury - and I walked around on it for a couple of weeks until it swelled up and saw the podiatrist. I managed with the boot - although a hard soled shoe is also a reasonable accommodation. Depending on the physicality of the role, one would think he could perform (although a walking cast might not be period correct)...but I guess we don't know the extent of his injury...sounds like it was a hard trip. I'm guessing Parson's people don't read the boards -- but if they do - send him over to see either one of the foot guys at HSS....both deal extensively with performers and athletes. |

| Right, because I'm sure that Parsons and his people have just been waiting on edge for medical advice from an anonymous theater chat room! | |

| Brilliant production and uniformly terrific performances. I didn't consult my playbill ahead of time and was not aware which part Parsons was playing. Having seen McGrath, it is hard to imagine anyone else in that role. One would not have known that McGrath was a standby (though he did call for a line late in the play). We have enjoyed a season of distinguished revivals, now capped by this one. A treat for theatergoers. | |

| He called for a line twice, once early on and then later during the confrontation with Alan. Wasn't disruptive, though. | |

| if you consider tony cutoff also the end of the season. Although some hold end of May to be end of season at least for yearly boxoffice and attendance numbers. | |

| Matt McGrath is a TERRIFIC actor who would have been a very welcome bit of casting regardless. I always thought he'd be a big star but for whatever reasons he's had to settle for a career full of wonderful performances in the theatre. I hope he makes enough dough to have a nice life, but in terms of his work, he's a gem. I'm hoping Parsons will be back by the time I see it but I won't be disappointed to see McGrath! |

| Matt McGrath is indeed a wonderful actor and I would not be at all disappointed to see him as Michael. I hope someday the role comes along on stage or film or television that propels him to the level of fame and fortune his talent truly deserves. | |
