Christopher Durang's latest play, TURNING OFF THE MORNING NEWS, opened over the weekend at McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ. I found it well worth seeing and imagine it will have a good life beyond this production. It's a lot darker and sharper than VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE -- in my eyes, a return to form for Durang. Kristine Nielsen is, predictably, excellent in the central role.
