| Women's Work May Mini-Festival! May 20 - 23, 2018 Join us for readings of powerful new scripts and excerpts of works-in progress from NPTC's innovative laboratory for plays by women. UP AND COMING: Sunday, May 20th @ 5:00pm w/Opening Reception! It Started With A Kiss by Cara Hall directed by Melody Brooks Breaking up is hard to do…especially when you're the one left behind. When Courtney leaves her over-achieving girlfriend Charlie, the consequences radiate throughout their circle of friends, and Charlie must decide how far she is willing to go for payback. READY FOR PRIMETIME: Monday, May 21st @ 3:00pm and Tuesday, May 22nd @7:00pm Splendid Grace by Charlotte Ortiz Colavin directed by Melissa Skirboll In this epic story of three women carrying on their quiet and seemingly uncomplicated lives, Colavin asks the eternal question: "you ever wonder what it would be, if it wasn't this?" FIRST LOOK: Monday, May 21st @ 7:00pm Kitty by Ann Chamberlin directed by Melody Brooks Somewhere between Victorian London and the Mormon Celestial Kingdom, Catharine "Kitty" Eddowes—who died at the hands of Jack the Ripper— fights to gain control of her eternal fate , which she never had in life. In this highly stylized play with music, Chamberlin reminds us that women can be victims in many ways.
