I bought a $40 rush seat for Carousel. It was up in a balcony, but not the highest one. It was great. Josh Henry’s voice is big, and so is Lindsay Mendez’. And I had a great view of the choreography. Great show and great seat.
I won a chance to buy $40 rush seats through the MY FAIR LADY online lottery and was seated in one of the first 8 rows of the first balcony during previews. It was a preview, and things may have changed...but...I think you need to sit upclose for this one. For both the performances and for the set. Lauren Ambrose’s performance was somewhat withheld and precious, but I understand that these choices work if you’re sitting up close. |
