| There used to be a show at the now defunct Riviera which had an on-stage tank. It was fun. "O" didn't have that, but the amount of lighting, different levels of ways that platforms would appear in the water, the swimming and diving, etc. made it still a very impressive show. There are apparently many different levels of oxygen stations under the water for the performers, so logistically this is an extremely complex and accomplished production. I thought "Mystere" was actually not that interesting after a while, though, of course with Cirque du Soleil the acrobatics are indeed impressive. I just wasn't as engaged with the thematic elements, the music or the presentation of it. Chacun a son gout! :) |
