The stage door scene has changed with the advent of iPhones,Selfies and the growth of Social Media
Cast members appear willing to take part in the somewhat organized meet & greets on the sidewalks outside of the stage doors.
It also gets the word out there on Instagram,facebook.etc. about their SHOW at the same time building a fan base
Production marketing peeps must be happy with this decade old trend
In addition to the old school stage doorman there are security teams keeping things moving
police barriers are complete with plastic covers with theater and show logos.
Takes about 15-30 mins for cast members to work the lines
Maybe Actor's Equity can negotiate a stipend for those that stick around |
