| Is it really the same content as her album that dropped? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Audra and bought tickets to her concert at the Philharmonic, where the album was recorded live, over a year in advance. if the OP's memory is correct, she sang at least a few songs in SF that she did not sing in NY (much to my sadness). I would have loved to hear Stars the the Moon, I Won't Mind, and I'll Be There. I guess I'm a little sore (in a most light hearted way!) because I felt her performance at the NY Philharmonic was the first time I've ever seen her where I wasn't blown away (and I have seen her in pretty much everything since Ragtime, including past concerts at the Philharmonic and Carnegie Hall). Audra rarely makes a misstep on stage, but I thought several of the songs were not ideal choices for her voice. I actually kept thinking I wished I could turn up the volume while she was singing. Maybe I was sitting in a dead spot. Anyhow, it's water under the bridge and I'd still still her in anything, but I was sad to be disappointed in her concert (in NY with the Philharmonic, didn't see Princeton or San Fran). | |
